The International day of Girl Child celebrated on 11th of October worldwide, highlighted the needs and challenges girls face today. There are many societies where the girl child regarded as inauspicious and unwelcome. In many parts of India, the girl child is considered a burden due to evil practices of dowry.
The days remind us that between boys and girls there is nothing that make one superior to other. An educated and skilled girl is as equipped as an educated and skilled boy. Therefore, a women should be provided all type of opportunities that man get.
The United Nations reports that millions of girls are either denied jobs or are employed in jobs that earn low or no pay. Many of them face bias, abuse and exploitation at work.
Nation should be able to expand existing learning opportunities for girls, chart new pathways for them for a successful transition into the world of work.
We should have protect our girl child, give training for self defense, teach to strong there mind and control emotions and overall education. We all have to remind that Women is the core of a developed society. Thus we have to rethink about there opportunities and taking care for there life. An educated and skilled woman can do such thing that an educated and skilled man can not do.
Without protecting a girl child and without holding hand of women, our so called societies are DISABLED.
